I’m sitting in the living room and having a discussion aka (gossip) about the crazy neighbors. And it suddenly occurs to me, these people have an amazing ability to annoy me… ‘When I choose to allow them to do so’. In pretty much the same way that my face lights up when I think about my children, these people have the amazing ability to make my spirit take a downturn just by thinking about them.
So I had an ‘aha’ moment when I decided that they don’t have the right to steal my joy. Simple.
Henceforth, they can do whatever they like and I will choose the right response as civil as possible and never let them into my personal space.
I hope I remember this more often 😃
